Guestroom Reservations
To reserve your guestroom at either the JW Marriott or the Ritz-Carlton (a small number of rooms are reserved), you must first register for the Convention. After you have registered, you will be sent an electronic link to make your guestroom reservation online. To receive the special SDA rate, guestrooms must be reserved by January 4, 2010.
You are encouraged to make your reservation as early as possible, to help ensure that you are able to secure a guestroom.

Non-Member, SDA Eligible
This includes companies with U.S. sales in one or more of the following categories: (1) household and industrial Cleaning Product * producers and formulators; (2) Cleaning Product ingredient suppliers; (3) oleochemical producers; (4) distributors of chemicals used in Cleaning Products and oleochemicals; and (5) Cleaning Product finished packaging suppliers. This is the last year that non-members who are eligible for membership will be able to attend the SDA Convention.
* " Cleaning Product” is defined as soaps, detergents, and other chemical products used for fabric care, dish and other ware washing, surface cleaning or personal cleansing in household, commercial, institutional or industrial settings.

Companies that are not eligible for SDA membership as defined above (e.g., equipment manufacturers, research labs, cleaning product manufactures with no U.S. sales).

Guest Registration
Each registrant is limited to one paid guest. A guest is defined as a spouse, significant other, friend or an adult child (18 or over) who is not in an industry-related occupation. Co-workers or associates in the industry may not use the guest registration category.
POLICIES
Important Note on Non-Member, SDA Eligible Attendance
Attendance is limited to two (2) persons or one couple representing the non-member, SDA eligible company. The 2010 Convention is the last year that SDA eligible non-member companies will be permitted to attend the Convention. Beginning in 2011, to attend the Convention, your company must be an SDA member (if eligible for membership).
Cancellations/Refunds and Payment Message
Please note that payments must be made in full before you will be permitted to attend any Convention related functions.
Registrations are transferable at any time.
Refunds will not be issued
after January 9, 2010
and will not be issued for no-shows. A $125 administrative fee will be applied to all registrations if cancellation is received via email by
January 9, 2010

heard that the Convention has moved to a new location. Where will it be held?
The meeting will take place at Grande Lakes, Orlando. For rate information, please refer to the the travel tab.
Can I make my hotel reservations now?
No. You must register for the Convention before you will be able to reserve your guestroom at the Convention rates. After registering, you will receive an email confirmation with a weblink to reserve your guestroom at either the JW Marriott or Ritz-Carlton.
Please note that after January 4, 2010, guestrooms will not be available at the special SDA rate.
What are the registration rates for the Convention?

What does my registration fee include?
Registration fees for full registration include: Access to Committee Meetings (for SDA Members); President's Opening Reception; Networking Café; All Speaker Sessions; Thursday Breakfast with Guest Speaker; Committee Recognition Luncheon; The Closing Night Events.
Am I eligible for the SDA Member rate?

What is the dress code?
Business casual is recommended.
Where will SDA events be held?
All SDA events will be held at the JW Marriott, Grande Lakes unless otherwise noted in the program.
Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?
A confirmation of your registration will be sent to you via email upon registering on-line. The confirmation will come from the email address meetings@sdahq.org, so please add this address to your “safe list.” You will receive a secondary confirmation with more information within 24 hours of registering for the Convention.
What if I need to cancel my registration?
We'll be sorry that you won't be able to join us for this exceptional business to business and networking experience! However, if you simply can't attend, please notify us via email (meetings@sdahq.org) by January 9, 2010. Refunds will be processed less a $125 administrative fee and will be returned via check. No refunds will be issued after January 9, 2010 or for no-shows.
If
I need to cancel my registration, can I send a substitute?
Substitutions may be made at any time. If you are unable to attend but someone else from your organization can come in your place, please notify us in writing via email at meetings@sdahq.org.
Will I receive a confirmation of my guestroom reservation?
The confirmation email will come directly from either the JW Marriott or the Ritz-Carlton, Grande Lakes. If you do not receive one within 48 hours of reserving your room, please contact the JW Marriott at (407) 206-2300 or the Ritz-Carlton at (407) 206-2400.
Will I be refunded if I have to cancel my room reservation?
If you reserved your guestroom prior to November 22, 2009 and provided a deposit, your deposit is non-refundable. If you reserve your room after November 22, 2009, your guestroom reservation will be refunded in full if notice is received in writing by five days prior to your arrival. Failure to check-in on the scheduled date of arrival will result in the loss of your housing deposit and the cancellation of your room for the remainder of the stay.
What about onsite parking?

Grande Lakes has much to offer families and friends. Family and friends can enjoy all the amenties that Grande Lakes has to offer - so invite them to join you!
Do my guests need to register for the Convention?
Special registration prices are available (please see the registration page) which includes: President's Weclome Reception, access to the Networking Café, Thursday Breakfast with Guest Speaker and the Friday Night Closing Events. Please note that guests are those individuals who are not employed in the industry.
I am a member of the press - do you have press registration?
The Soap & Detergent Association welcomes professional editorial staff (including photographers and camera crews) of print, online, and broadcast media to attend the Convention on a complimentary basis. Other publications staff (non-editorial positions, such as publishers, advertising directors, and advertising representatives) may attend the Convention must pay all related fees.
